Have you ever been in Bretagne in France?

and what do you think about it ?

@jaric : oui merci je sais, i live there ! i just ask to know what people abroad think.

I'm going there in March. Whats it like in March?!

Merci pour l'information,C'est tr茅s gentille!!!!!

i never went

I went three times. And three times I was showered by rain. If you like the sun and heat; avoid it at all cost. By all other aspects it's a very nice place with charming people ( for french standards) and good food. Too many brits though.

Yes I have and I loved it.

I stayed in a gite on an Island off the north coast from Carentec called Isle Callott. Interestingly, these names are pronounced in Brittany as "Carenteck" and "Callotte".

If you love the sea, you will love Brittany - there are many wonderful beaches, rocky cliffs, and the history if very closely related to the Celts. Many religious monuments called "Calvaries" abound.

The seafood is wonderful, as are the galettes and crepes.

Go to www.britannytourism.com for more information.

(It's very different from the rest of France and the Breton don't let the French forget it ... there are many separatists there and the language is also Breton.)

Yes, but it was only to St. Malo after visiting Mont Saint Michel. The beach there was goooorgeous!

Went about 10 years ago...St. Malo and Mont St. Michel are charming (if not touristy). Bretagne is highly recommended by me, especially if you're a WWII buff.

Yes, I have been many times and I find it's very similar to Cornwall in the UK.
I especially like the coastline between Lorient and Vannes.

yes! c'est a cot茅 de chez moi!
Ps le mont saint michel c'est en Normandie! merci!!

Ce qui est merveilleux en Bretagne c'est qu'il peut faire beau plusieurs fois par jour!

Yes. Mont St Michel isn't in Brittany, it's in Normandy - check it out. Just shows how much some people know. The language isn't Breton, it's French. They are a bunch of insecure people who claim to be either Celtic or French, depending either on what best suits them at that moment or the way in which the wind is blowing. They claim Mont St Michel as a Breton tourist attraction, yet make sure that Normandy pays the bills for dredging the estuary. After all, it is in Normandy ... Don't eat their pancakes unless you like raw eggs. The people and scenery are wonderful, but don't think about staying there unless you've lost the will to live.

bretagen isnt different of france
and the bretons are french

all regions are differents each other
people of other countries know just the parisian culture
know more as the french culture
but
in france each regions have it culture , but all speak french and some regionals dialect /language

there is no region apart or inferior.
