As anyone been to Bologna, Italy?

If you have, how was your experience? In my opinion it was great.

Bologna is the culinary capital of Italy. You can't eat badly there unless you try (EX McDonald's). It had good shopping, a VERY liberal atmosphere, a very beautiful and famous atmosphere, and has the oldest university in Europe. I love it.

I was there in the winter of 2000. I had a great time. Not my favorite place in Italy, but I enjoyed my stay. Smaller cities are much more amiable.

Friends come back from there saying "People are so nice"
But really, they are normal people, it's everyone else who are a**h***

been 7 times... its the ugliest italian city... it was very dirty... a big two thumbs down... but i do love italy just not bologna..
