Is Bologna a nice city?

I might be going their next summer and staying in an apartment with 4 other girls...is it nice/fun? Is florence better? Also is it very touristy because i dont like that.

i dont know if all you people were trying to be funny with the jokes but you didnt make me (or anyone else for that matter) laugh.

Bologna is actually a really pretty city with a lot of history and a lot of things to do. There is a huge (and very old) University there too, a lot of people equate the people and overall vibe there to Italy's own version of Berkeley. Its really a unique place and worth visiting.

The food there is really, really good too.

Yes, its beautiful....and...it tastes great with mayonaisse on wheat bread...mmm.

ive only experienced the Bologna between two pieces of white bread, and it was delicious, so i would guess the city is also delicious.
