Al Manama Souk is under construction... so i won't suggest going to the Souk... but there are many souks in Isa Town...

2. Visit the Bahrain International Circuit - home to middle east formula one... you can take a tour for 5BD,$13..Or get on one of their Hummer*s taking you on desert drives...

3. Visit the Ritz Carlton... its one of the finest hotels in Bahrain
go their for dinner or have cocktails at their private beach... its all good :).... for clubbing LIKWID is nice or BJs or if you like it relaxing environment visit Ali-ally at Sheraton Hotel...

4. For eat outs... there are many international restaurants... my fav is NANDO's in Adliya... freakin spicy chickens or Al Abraj- great Arabian & international food.

5. Visit the Bahrain/Saudi Causeway... you will get great view of the Saudi/Bahrain sea... + there鈥檚 a nice cafe & restaurant... +Checkout the Dolphine Show at Marina Beach

6. If you like Sheeha... head to Casa Blu... in adliya... a great Sheeha cafe.

7. Visit Bahrain Yacht Club... you will like it there...+ they have lots of stuff to do...

8. You can visit Hewar Islands... a cool island w/ a nice hotel or& you can visit AL Bander Resort ... its pretty good!

hope dis helps

I spent a weekend in Bahrain once. There are hundreds of mounds of earth. They're tombs built by the Dilmun people thousands of years ago. There's scuba diving, and fresh water springs on the sea bed. Excellent beaches. A suq (market) where you can buy beautiful locally-made jewellery. Bahrain has a long history. It was inhabited before the pyramids were built. Up until the 1930s the only inhabitants were a few pearl divers. You may still be able to buy locally produced pearls. There's a causeway you can drive across to Saudi. Make a point of learning a few greetings in Arabic. It works like magic. When I visited, I was living in Qatar, a 20 minute flight away. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are only an hour's flight away. Or you could drive there, across the causeway and through Saudi.

There's plenty going on at the hotels for nightlife [ conservative ] http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com/Bahrain...

Most of the fun is restricted to shopping, oppulent buildings and cars or desert drives. But your family will have some great tips.

The official tourism site for Bahrain is still under construction.

Why don't you take a break in Dubai - plenty happening there.
