Hi i have a offer of $31,400 Salary & $18,933housing Allowance in Bahrain,want to know cost of living,saving.

want to know about saving potential.Also need to understand
if i wana transfer money in india so as to ensure my commitments( EMI) are honoured how??

That's not a bad salary- like much of the Gulf, Bahrain can be very cheap or very expensive, depending on how you choose to live. Things like food (with the exception of imported food from the US & Europe) isn't much, nor are services like a cleaning lady. Rent is high though, so I would imagine you would either have to take a very small apartment, or share housing with other people.

Monthly apartment rental at Manama between 500-650BD or 1300-1700USD for 2 bedrooms, cheaper if you rent yearly. Middle class meal 2-3BD or 5-8USD per one meal. I think you still have potential saving from your salary to transfer to India...
