What are/were the situations with Bahrain and East Timor and Kosovo?

Kosovo is a Serbian territory but the population is mostly Albanian, so there was a civil war. East Timor was a territory of Indonesia which is a Muslim country but East Timor is mostly Catholics, so they voted to break from Indonesia. Bahrain is a Shia Muslim country while the rulers are Sunni.
