Cost of living in Bahrain with family.?

I am an Indian, I am soon joining a company in Bahrain, Pls advice what would cost me for semifurnished 2BHK flat, Grocery & food, Medical expenses, Electricty & water charges, My family is wife + one kid. Economical hospital with indian doctors, car rental, overall average monthly monthly expenses for a middle class family. Thanks for responding

Mate u first need to check with ur employer whether they provide wyh house rent, cover ur medical expnses, ur kids schooling etc. The cost of food and Grocery is pretty cheap, whereas the medical might be a bit on the higher side, not outrageous though. The Flat rent for a gud 2 bd flat wld be around 250-300BHD (Lower and higher Depens on ur choice). You can purchase a car for a preety cheap rate. If you want ur kid to study in a Indian school it would be preety cheap. Electricity and other charges r really cheap.

Why did you have a kid when you can't afford to live in your own country?

i hope im more help than the answerer above. most asians leave wife and kids at home as they cant afford to take them so good on u for taking them and keeping family together. anyway in answer to yr question i lived in dubai for 12 years u need to check if your employer is offering anything like accommodation if not u may find it a bit expensive but yr wife may be able to work so that will help. im a bit out of touch with costs but when i was there there were middle class asian families there indeed a lot of my childrens friends were asian and they seeme dto manage ok. u dont have to go to the expensive doctors and shops that western expats go to, we used to go to an indian doctor who charged very little and was very good he had studied in London (im british btw) . with regard to cars u can buy one cheap and taxis are cheap, in order to drive u will probably have to pass their driving test which may take a while i hope ive been a bit of help to u and good luck with yr move.
