I'm hoping to live in Bahrain with my family with a job in Manama for 750 BHD Any advice?

I would like to know about life in Bahrain, where can I rent a house and the costs of decent houses and possible neighbors since I'm a muslim from SriLanka and transportation since I have to work in Manama and medical facilities specially for my kids aged two year old daughter and 7 month old son. I'm really excited since it's my first time moving out of my country please help me! Thanks to all!

As I have mentioned in my e-mail, BD 750 will allow you to live a decent life. Flats are about BD 100 to BD 150 per month. I am sure employers provide transportation and also food is very cheap in Bahrain. Welcome to Bahrain

Bahrain, cheap !! Nonsense. It is very expensive, but a great place. I love Bahrain and the natives are wonderful people. But it is not cheap.

Compared to other gulf countries, it ranks second to Dubai. But then again, every country ranks second to Dubai.

Go to Bahrain, you will love it I certainly do.

I think BD 750 will allow you to live a good life. Especially that you only have two kids, and they wouldn't cost you a lot.

Bahrain is getting more expensive day after day, but still with a salary like that you'll get a decent life as participants suggested.

As for rent, I noticed that an acceptable apartment now costs from BD 120 to above BD 210. It depends on how hard you look, and what are your requirements.

You can get everything set after you arrive here, it'll take you some time to get settled, to choose an apartment and to buy yourself a car and everything.
