Bahrain travel info?

Planning for a holiday with my friends in august. Is there any travel info website that i can surf for info. Any suggestion where to stay in muscat for medium budget traveller

Thanks

The official Tourism website is most recommended. It is http://www.bahraintourism.com/

But I warn you, Bahrain can get VERY HOT in August, don't say you haven't been warned ;)

Okay, first of all Muscat is in Oman. The capital of Bahrain is Manama. Stay at Sheraton hotel if you're in Muscat. The best place to stay around there. In Bahrain, there are many hotels. Just google the hotels in Bahrain.

I've been to Bahrain via the military. Not exactly a prime vacation destination in my book. Warm beer, if any, and no women to be seen. Enjoy!

You can get all the travel info about bahrain at

Good luck

Dude... I'm from Bahrain - I'm a natural born Bahraini from Muharraq in Al Hala!!!

I'm not sure about Muscat which is in Oman... but I can tell you that there is the Delmon hotel in Bahrain... the big towering one...

Oh... and if you are in Bahrain... you should try the shrimp... and the crab... however eat the smaller female crab... it tastes better... go to "Foklandeh" and Bandar Dar... try to visit Muharraq and Mahmiyat al Areen... also... go see the Tree of Life...

And dont listen to these ignorat soldiers... they never actually get out... there are women everywhere... its like the Vegas of the Middle East...

OOOH... and my family runs a tour boat at the Corneash in Manama... its the seaside walk facing the Delmon... you can't miss it... a BIG YELLOW BOAT...

So are you visiting Bahrain or Oman? Muscat is in Oman, not Bahrain!!

Sorry, but Muscat is in Oman and is, rather expensive.

Bahrain info can be obtained via almost any search engine. And what's neat, the government of Bahrain has an online visa application system that actually works - and works well.

It's a small country and tends to be hot. But in spite of rapid growth and development, Bahrain has managed to maintain significant elements of its history and past.

It's safe. Almost everything's available there. And it's a good place to visit.

Sorry for our military visitor above, but no one really asked any foreign military to come to Bahrain (like a lot of other countries). If you didn't enjoy your military visit there, perhaps you should complain to your own government and its policies rather than complain about Bahrain.

Muscat (Oman) gets expensive in tourism seasons.

As for Bahrain... well like they already have told you, it is very hot in August. However, if you are planning to stay indoors most of the time, no problem.
