I am going to Bahrain, my question is can unmarried couple share a hotel room or is it not alowed? Foreigners are usually exempt from those laws, unless you look Arab. You will probably be fine, but keep in mind that the higher the cost of the hotel, the less likely it is that the police are coming around and doing checks. It's allowed. I'm sure they can if they have hundreds of Russian prostitutes working there Well in the UAE its not allowed but im assuming the laws are the same so its probably not allowed there either. Same genders are allowed though as long as they're straight. Yes you can. But I assume that I'll not be responsible for any law enforcement against you. Yeah no problems. They won't even ask who she is. Bahrain is a very open country. A lot of ladies wear sleeveless shirts and mini skirts. It's fine. I will be going to Bahrain within the next month, notice my question?! :) Not allowed. Only 4 and 5 stars hotels do not take a close look on passports. Other lower end hotels can be afraid of police and be picky on papers. it's allowed, and they dont usually ask questions so dont worry. i went to bahrain once and they requested -in the hotel- to see my (family card), it was a 5 star hotel. Yes you can. Bahrain is quite liberal (especially for the Gulf). Women can walk around in tank tops and miniskirts without getting harassed, and there are low taxes on alcohol. You'll have a great time, I loved it there. I see you have received many conflicting answers to your question, although most answers were correct: yes, you can share a hotel room with your girlfriend in Bahrain. I live in Abu Dhabi and have traveled to Bahrain many times (to Khasab, Buraimi and Muscat) - always staying in hotels with my boyfriend. We have stayed in all types of hotels (4 star, 5 star, and real dumps). We have always been treated with kindness and courtesy and noone EVER asked about our marital status, nor do they ask at the border. |
