Visa in Bahrain? |
am a Kenyan nationale and i signed a contract to work in Bahrain when i was in the UAE on 5th nov.2006. even after my company telling me that my paper have been approved by immigration dept on 9th April 2007. my visa is yet to be out. what could be wrong? is it possible for me to contact immgration dept confirming why it is taking so long? or rather to enquire whether the comp.have applied?or if the comp. have applied why am yet confirmed? Hi, I think I can help you as I work in HR. Sometimes it takes long to issue a visa or what we call it here an NOC (No Objection Certificate), you need this to enter Bahrain and then you will get your visa after arrival. No you cannot call them up because they will not be able to figure out which one is your request out of thousands, they usually give an order number to those who applied. Your sponsor should be able to check regarding the status of your NOC. Call them up and they should be able to tell you why it is delayed and when (approximately) it should be ready. When they recieve the NOC, you can come to Bahrain straight away, you will have to do the visa or what is called the residence permit when you arrive. That'll also not be done by you, it should be done by the sponsor. Am perplexed to hear my answer, i have confirmed with my employer that my visa was rejected at last could be because am a Kenyan nationale,i dont know but i have also confirmed with my company that i will get a transfer back to UAE. thats what am waiting for.
