What are the best days to travel to Europe during the summer?

The best days to travel to Germany and the surrounding countries in either June or July. June the weather is still very unpredictable, but it is not as crowded. The weather could be warm, cold, wet, dry, you could have any type of weather. I prefer to travel in June if I go in the summer. July is the best weather wise. But, the crowds of tourists and the waiting lines for attractions are something else. I have even had trouble finding a table in a local tavern. In August, all of Europe goes on holiday. This is not the month to travel because all of Europe is traveling also. I always pack a coat, and carry and umbrella. I have had many wonderfully good times in June. There are many festivals in June. Kiel had Kieler Woche, which is worth just going to Kiel for in June. It is always colder is northern Europe than in the southern part. No matter when you go, you will have a good time. Wait, and I will pack my bags and be your tour guide. WOW!!

The best days to trvel to Europe during summers are the snowless days

during july and august

A lot of vacations are in August in Europe especially Germany and Italy, the coast of Croatia is beautiful and packed with tourists, lots to do and see as well, you can take a ferry to Venice from there too, wherever you go, I'm jealous..have fun!

I'd say you check yahoo weather depending on which european country you're travelling to. thursdays aren't bad though

Normally, June would be the best time to go, but since this year the World Cup will be taking place in Germany in June & airfare will be higher, July is a better time to go.

Very good advice so far. I live in Germany so I can definitely tell a difference in traffic during vacation season. As stated, before August is a no go unless you like crowds. I prefer traveling during off season, May and September. The weather is still quite nice and entry is no problem. The past few summers have been quite hot here so keep that in mind.

We go in May or September (most times) because you gets the great deals, beautiful weather, and no crowds

If you want in the summer only-then June to the first half of July-the kids are still in school and the crowds are MUCH less then
