Can I get from Ancona to Civitavecchia by a ferry or somekind of a boat?

Can I get from Ancona to Civitavecchia by a ferry or somekind of a boat?

Well, the queston is rather surprising, since a quick look on a map of Italy would provide a good answer. Anyway: NO.
Ancona is on the East side of the peninsula (Adriatic Sea) and Civitavecchia on the West side (Tirrenean Sea), at some 80 Km north of Rome.
By road from Ancona, it would be autoroute A14 South for approx 90 Km and then West on Autoroute A24 to Rome (N.B. the A24 is one of the most beautiful roads of Italy. Beautiful landscapes through the Appenninean mountains). For sure there is a Bus Line service to Rome. The duration of the journey should be in the order of 4 - 5 hours (to Rome). Then Rome to Civitavecchia can be done quickly by train.
I hope this helped.
