Can you believe that a return flight from Aberdeen to Southampton is over 拢469's?

However if you fly from either Edinburgh or Glasgow it can be from as little as 拢74 return. How can the difference be so vast?

the 74 pound flights may be a sale fare or the 469 pound flight may be due to very few seats left...

I fly regulary to Glasgow from SW UK with BMI Baby and it never costs me any more than 拢55.00 return.

It's because of supply/demand and lack of competition. I expect there are very few airlines that fly the Aberdeen - Southampton route so the one(s) that does can charge what they like as there's no competition for fares. Also, this is probably a route that is most used by business travellers.
No consolation if that's the flight you want and are paying yourself of course.
You could try flying from Aberdeen to Gatwick (apparently from 拢25 one way) then take a direct train to Southampton - train takes under 2 hours - 拢17.

its totally scanderlous, i fly manchester to aberdeen, i work ad hoc on the oil rigs so i have to book as soon as i can but often have to pay 拢180 single (next day flight)
i flew to bangkok for 拢420 return,
i think they are taking the pee
i have a bmi card and earn air miles and if ever (rare) i can use these miles it cost me 拢32 what a differance eh
