Traveling from LAX to Atlanta GA?

So an emergency came up where I have to travel on a plane.

This is my FIRST TIME on a plane. I haven't been to LAX since I was little to see off family members and since then protocol has changed drastically. (cough 911 cough)

So I'm looking around on the websites. My boyfriend says I need to have a clear luggage case now? Is that true? What do I do if I don't have one??

Please brief me on what they're looking for, what I can and can not bring. Thank you!

Luggage that you are checking in does not need to be clear. Check the web site for your airline to see what the size requirements are for carry on luggage and what their requirements are. (Most likely Delta Airlines? Check their web site for luggage requirements)

Hello!
If you're bringing your luggage on with you, any liquid form must be in a clear ziplock sandwich bag and can't be more than 3.5 fluid ounce per item. If you're checking in your bag, no worries whatsoever.

you dont need a clear suit case, but having clear pockets (like fo rmakeup, money, or whatever) wouldnt be a bad idea.

you cant bring lighters, knifes, guns, anything obvious with you.

expect to get there pretty early. its easier to wait for your plane than to get on your plane when its already gone...

wear comfy easy to wear shoes with socks. youll have to take them off. derss comfortably.

dont worry! the airlines are safer than they were before, and im sure you going to be alright. good luck and have fun!.

(also, bring gum just incase the altitude messes with your ears and tylenol)

also you cant being alot of liquids with you. not completely sure what the size is though.. sorry!

No, you dont need a clear luggage case now. Most of the luggage i've seen arent clear or transparent. I flew a couple of time after 9/11 and i never got in any trouble with my non-clear luggage. As far as what you can and cant bring, their is a basic list here:
