ID to Fly?

I don't have a school ID or a restricted/drivers license. What sort of ID would I need to fly from Florida to Tennessee?

You are required to have one if you are 18 or older. If you are under 18 you are not required to have one to travel. It never hurts to have an ID though. You can get one made at the license bureau and it's not that expensive.

Happy travels!

A non license id card - you get it from dept of motor vehicles.
I don't know what else might work. hope it helps.

If you're under 18 you don't have to have an ID. However, if you are 18 or older, will have to show proof. If you don't have an ID, over 18, get there early and you will have to go through extra screening.

If you're 18 or over, you must have a government issued photo ID.

Under 18, you need to have a parent or guardian fill out some paperwork when you check in at the airport.

Do you have a permit or a passport? It's very tough these days to get around without any sort of photo identification. You might want to look into getting a state issued ID. It is very inexpensive, and it will work the same way a driver's license would (for ID purposes).

If you are a minor under 16, and traveling with an adult or guardian, then they can vouch for you. In any case, it's good to have an official copy of your birth certificate. That is something you can get via mail from the county/district you were born in.

Anything with your picture on it such as a credit card with your photo on it or a passport. If you don't have anything with your photo on it, you will not be allowed to fly.

As long as it has a photo of you and your first and last name, then i think it should be fine. You can still use your passport.

If your flying by yourself and your under18, they probably will ask you for an ID. The ticket agents and the people at security have no idea who you are and I dont think they will let some random person get on the plane, If you are flying with your family (ie. parents) and your under 18, you can probably get away with not showning your ID because your parents can identify who you are. Your parents will have to show their ID though.
