What FOOD should I bring? |
What are some good healthy snacks to bring on a long plane ride. I will be in and out of airports for 30 hours straight. I want to stay up beat as possible. What things work well while flying. Any other advice on how to stay feeling good while flying would be great. Things that pack well and that will stay fresh without refirideration or that will need to be heated to eat are best. These include apples, carrots, celery sticks, raisins, nuts (preferablly unsalted), trail mix, hard candies, M&Ms, granola bars, dried fruits, crakers that have cheese or peanut butter already on them, and peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches (in a Glad ware or similar type of reusable disposable container to keep them from getting squished). Frankly .... by the 8th hour, you are just ready to get out. Don't even think about how to stay upbeat. There is no way. I have done at least 50 30-hour trips for work. Just keep it simple. Enjoy the food in the airplane and in-flight movie. Snacks does no difference on flights. Just keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water. I took some cheese and crackers with me. The grocery store sells real small packs of cheese. Or you can cut some up and put them in a plastic bag, also apples or popcorn. I would bring whatever is your simple type of foods..for instance if you like a particular brand of crackers or cookies bring that..or some sort of Tea..candy..whatever makes you feel even a little bit better would make your very long trip less stressful 100 Calorie Packs are great, look for snack places after sercuity in each airport. |
