Airplane flying and bare escentuals?

you know how the airlines want you to put your toiletries in a clear ziploc back and when going through security take the ziplock bag out. do i need to do that with my bare escentuals makeup?

Your Bare Esscentuals makeup should be fine as long as it is in powder form (it doesn't matter if the powder is pressed or loose). Lip stick, as long as it comes in the traditional twist up tube, does not need to go into the bag either.

The rule about what needs to go into the bag is for items that are in liquid, or gel/paste form. Things like toothpaste, hair spray, shapmoo, conditioner, facial cleanser and the like need to go itno the bag. Makeup that needs to go into the one quart zip top bag includes things like mascara, liquid eye liner, lip gloss, liquid foundation, makeup remover, liquid eye color, gel blush and the like.

Make sure that the items are 3 ounces or less each. If the make up is a compact of powder than no, if it is cream or mousse than yes.

Not all toiletries, just liquids, pastes and gels. Any powder doesn't need to be in your 1 quart ziploc bag. It does need to close completely though.

You have to put ANY liquids or gels in a bag. This includes lip gloss, mascara etc. I always put mine in the front zipper pocket of my roll behind carry on that way it is easily accessible and quicker to take out and put back in without everyone behind you waiting impatiently.

Anything over 3 oz must be put in checked luggage, or TSA will make you throw it away if it is over 3 oz.

Just remember the 3-1-1 rule:
3 oz or less for liquids
1 quart size Ziploc bag
1 Ziploc bag per ticketed passenger
