What do i do on a plane for 7 hours??

I'm 13 years old and me and my friends are going to Boston from the green isle-you guessed it !Northern ireland. We can't sleep well on a plane. We love to gossip and love music. We don't mind reading but want to read a good book and not a book the size of a telephone book. Note:- We only have room for a middle size rucksack. We need ideas quick as we are going away in just under a week!!Please help !!

Ok your looking at about a 7 hr flight. Its not as bad you might think, especially if you're excited about your trip. Bring a guide-book or tourist map of Boston to read through and discuss with your friends, that way you can plan stuff you'd like to see or do (shops you'd like to find while you're there etc) That way you'll really be looking forward to it and it'll take your mind off the flight...
Each of you should bring a couple of magazines to flick through and then swap with one another when you are done. Start reading a book before you go, that way if its a real page-turner you'll know it'll be worth taking on the flight...
Usually they'll show a movie on flights from Ireland to Boston... ***which airline are you flying with??*** Even a half-good movie will really break up the flight time. (On average 2 hours). Also when they serve food it breaks up the time, usually a snack and then a dinner, put down the book or magazine you are reading and focus on eating for awhile...
Bring a deck of cards...
Load up your ipod with music and then make a playlist of all your most recent favourite songs to listen to on the airplane. Also make a playlist of 'chill out songs' to help you relax, that way if you get tired but can't sleep you can just close your eyes and relax.

there are always dvds and card games

You can listen to music or play some games with your friends.

Like charades or ask&answer or something like this.

play Video games , read magazines , listen to ur ipod ad watching sky out of window . I do all these things in my long flights.

play games, listen to music and read magazines xx

Ann rice books are thick but small, Some are kinda like bookporn, mp3 and mp4 players are your friend! as are dses and psps, bring a pack of cards, easy fun, take up hardly any space. Have you heard of manga? japanese comics, don't take up too much space and are easy reads. try looking at cardcaptor sakura or fruits basket.

(Play the casino -on-line on your pc.then when you arrived in Boston, you'd have to return home cuz you'd be bankcruptcy,hehe,,)...actually,you can listen to music, watch vids,do crosswords and read.

I guess you are doing an overnight flight in Economy Class, so it might be as well if you tried hard to get some sleep - most of the cabin lights will be out anyway if other people are trying to sleep.
This way, you will be a little more refreshed when you arrive to make the most of your holiday.
You might want to take a good torch and batteries if you are planning to stay awake right through the night - your neighbours might not be too happy at having overhead seat lights shining on them.

What airline are you travelling with?

Check out their website and find the "in-flight" menu. Usually, there is a section which lists "in-flight entertainment".

ugh i have this problem all the time.
1. buy trashy magazines
2. buy a midsize book that you dont have to focus alot of energy on
3. IPOD, buy lots of new songs for the trip and dont listen until the trip
4. buy a bunch of new movies
5. talk with your friends
6. play cards
