The 拢70 pounds Ryan AIR explanation, I booked over the phone with Sun 4U and they emailed me without my wifes

surname, having been married 45yrs Do you think it likley that i would make an error in giving that info, subsequently this cost me the 拢70 that ryan Air would not treat as an admin error and i had to book a new seat for my wife as well as 拢1 per minute on the phone and the aircraft only had 83 passengers. So who do I take action against, and now does anyone think this is a fair and honest way to do business.

If you booked this over the phone it would seem, with the information available, that Sun 4U may be at fault. When you finished booking did they not read all the details back to you for confirmation? It does seem very strange that they would e-mail you with one full name and one christian name only. Again it could be said that the person sending the e-mail didn't check the contents before posting. Their terms and conditions show a charge of between 拢25 and 拢50, for a name change, depending on the length of time before the intended flight. I would agree that Ryanair have not been very helpful, but unless you were in touch with them, which is in itself very difficult, you only have the word of Sun 4U to go on. Why not write to the Managing Director of Sun 4U, detailing your complaints, and if you get no joy you should consider taking them to the small claims court, to recover your losses. The trouble with phone calls is that it's your word against theirs, unless they "record all calls for training purposes" as is often said. I feel sure that a court would find in your favour, if you are able to prove that Sun 4U sent out a ticket to a Christian name only. This would tend to show inefficiency on their part. There is little cost involved in such an action . Best of luck in your efforts.

Well, everyone of us makes a mistake from time to time. Airlines such as Ryanair have everything in their terms & conditions. If they altered everyone's mistakes free of charge it would cost a lot of money and they would not be able to offer cheap deals like they do. You grievance should be with the company you booked with, not Ryanair.

Sounds like it's a mess-up with Sun 4U, not Ryanair. It's not the airline's fault if your agents didn't book the seat.
