How is Southwest Airlines?

Okay, so I'm flying Southwest later this week from Buffalo to Orando nonstop. I just want to know how they are.... Like, experiences you may have had with them, how they treat you, what to expect, timeliness, safety, etc.

The flight on the way down is supposidly non-stop.

However, my flight back, I go from Fort Meyers, and then Connect in Orlando with a 30 minute layover, to Buffalo. I called SWA and they said that usually when there is a 30 minute layover, the gates are very close... Is that long enough?

Now first of all, going around Orlando International airport is very easy and you shouldn't miss your flight as each terminal there is pretty small. They are very nice and laid back type of company. They have smiles on their faces and sometimes tell jokes during the safety demonstration. Safety is great as they have Boeing 737 in service. Time is pretty good, great and friendly pilots. You get complimentary peanuts and drinks (unlike other carriers where you get nothing). That's why their motto is LUV.

You'll be fine as your flight is non stop at least I hope it is. They are a good airline and a safe one.

ok well first off ill tell you i have rode with sw airlines several times.. it was a very good choice.. from start to finish it is great... the people talk on the intercom and make jokes and make it fun... they serving ppl come around and ask how u are and if u need anything non stop around the plane.. the flight seemed pretty fast.. nothing went wrong and it was all good =]]
im only a teenager but i thought it was a very good flight and hope urs is the same =]]

Sorry but I have never been on Southwest Airlines. I have heard they are good though.

Wonderfull airline. We use them alot every year. Best prices. Just make sure you print out your boarding 24 hours prior to the flight. You want to get the "A" letter. They dont assign seats, so they go by letters and numbers. As long as you get "A", you will be the first group on, after they put the handicap folks and the folks with little kids. Great airline though, one of the few profitable airlines out there. Southwest only goes to cities where it can turn that plane around within 45 mins. They are very efficent.

no frills but they are on time and offer alot of nonstop domestic routes for a good price.

Many people feel that Southwest is a lower end airline. Southwest is not. The planes are comfortable and clean. The flight crew is very friendly and accomadating. They flight crew will give you all the penuts and soft drinks that you want.

I like Southwest. The seats were pretty comfortable, they were on time for both of my flights (roundtrip) and the employees were pretty nice.

Dont worry about the time. If you have to swtich planes, you probably will have enough time. I doubt you will though because 30 mins is pretty short. I remember this one Southwest trip where some people didnt get off the plane. The plane made a stop in LA (my stop) for the LA people to get off and then it went on to Phoenix. I saw some people stay in their seats. If there isnt 2 sets of numbers separated by a / then you probably dont have to swtich planes.
