What is the cheapest/safest method to get from Acapulco Airport to San Miguel De Allende and back to Acapulco?

My husband and I are flying into Acapulco Airport on Apr. 2nd and want to visit a friend staying in San Miguel de Allende for 2 days before going back to Acapulco where we will be staying at the Grand Mayan Acapulco for a week. We want to know what the transportation would cost and how to arrange for it? Is there more than one option? Also do you know approximately how long it will take to get there/ back? Any other tips would be appreciated. Thank you

There are two international airports near San Miguel de Allende: the Aeropuerto del Bajio (BJX), located 110 km (about 70 miles) from San Miguel, and the recently opened Aeropuerto Internacional de Queretaro (QRO), about 75 km (45 miles) from San Miguel de Allende. You may want to check with the domestic carriers in the Acapulco airport when you arrive to see if any of them service either BJX or QRO you could continue from either of those places with a bus to San Miguel.
The least expensive option woud be to find a bus from one of the 3 Acapulco bus stations to Queretaro.Although I don't know of any direct bus service from Acapulco to Queretaro,I'm sure you could connect through Puebla. The Puebla bus is 7 hours and about 35 or 40 dollars per person one way and leaves from the Papagayo station. You may want to enlist the help of someone at the hotel to make the reservations for you.

Here's another option through Mexico City:

To/From Mexico City: It's a 4-hour trip to San Miguel from Mexico City's Terminal Norte, on a first-class bus (with one stop in Queretaro). Primera Plus, Satelite, ETN, and Omnibus de Mexico all have one to six deluxe buses per day. Flecha Amarilla and Herradura de Plata have buses that leave almost every half hour (most are first-class). Make sure that your bus is a "directo". If you can't get a quick departure, catch a bus to Queretaro and change buses there. It is a five hour +/- trip from Acapulco to Mexico City and about $25-30 per person each way.
There are four major bus terminals in Mexico City.
Hope this helps and is not too confusing. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or concerns.

Same answer as when you asked before. Fly from Acapulco to Leon or Queretaro. It only takes few hours. You could also take a first class bus. You need to ask a travel agent because I have never found a single bus site for bus schedules. Buses are very comfortable with bathrooms and reclining seats.
