Dont you think its time we stop visiting violent vacation spots like Acapulco?

I've been reading about problems tourists have in Costa Rica also and I think if we stay away from these places maybe we could send a message.

I was in costa rica 2 years ago when 4 gunmen stormed a bank in Monte Verde and 7 (i think) people were killed. if they want my tourist dollars they are going to have to make changes.

I feel wayyyyy safer in Acapulco than I would in Los Angeles!!! Besides... most of those warm vacation spots rely heavily on tourist dollars, and without that money flowing in, the conditions in some of those countries, including the violent crime rate, would get much worse!

if you stay away from costa rica you'll send the message "we don't care about the third world"
