How is the best way to vacation for a month in mexico? |
How is the best way to vacation for a month in mexico? you want to know about hotels, restaurants and see photos and videos of top travel destinations in mexico? see http://www.travelbymexico.com/index2.htm... Hi. It all depends on how much money you plan to spend. If you want to fly it's going to be quite expensive. For some adventure I'd reccommend taking the bus. For a month I'd plan more or less on the following, some culture, some beach and some fun. Try Mexico City for about 4 days. There you can visit the fine National Museum of Anthropology and History, the pyramids in Teotihuacan and the Zocala area, with the Palacio Nacional and the murals, the Cathedral and the Museo del Templo Mayor. Then you can go for a couple of days into colonial Mexico, Morelia, San Miguel de Allende, Zacatecas, Queretaro. In these places you will find Mexico's finest examples of Colonialism and independence history. You should plan for at least 2 days at each city. For some more Indian culture, try a visit to Oaxaca and Monte Alban. Oaxaca is booming with another facet of Mexico's rich Indian heritage and Monte Alban is another great place to visit for Indian ruins. Plan on at least 3 days in Oaxaca. From there to the Yucatan area for a few days in the Cancun area, say 3 or 4 days to relax on the beach, and a visit to the pyramids in Tulum and Chichen Itza. These are all day trips. While there visit Merida another fine Mexican city with a very laidback style. Stay in Merida for at least 2 days. If you still fancy some more sightseeing and culture then visit San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas and see another facet of Indian culture. You could spend at least 2 days here. If you still want some more time, then a side trip while in Mexico City to Puebla is very nice. Puebla is also a great cultural city with lots of churches. A visit to Taxco would also be very nice as it's a day trip from Mexico City. Taxco is a great place to see silver jewelry and buy of course. A visit to Guadalajara might also be very nice as it's Mexico's 2nd largest city with a grear downtown area, museums and plazas. Hope this helps. |
